Ezekiel 38-39: The War of Gog & Magog (Part 4–Conclusion)
When we see these things beginning (that were spoken of by the prophets in the Old Testament) to take place, we are not to be troubled, If anything, we should be excited, and in awe of the truth of God’s Word.
See one of the mistakes made when trying to study Bible prophecy is instead of following God’s Word, many tend to “speculate,”. How many know that God says what He means and means what He says. I always felt in my heart that after Y2K, there was a massive turning away from Bible prophecy for the most part.
II Peter 3:1-10—This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
4) A Pre-Imminent Reason: He will make Himself known among the heathen and He will sanctified before the eyes of the entire world. Also he will make himself know to the nation of Israel
Ezekiel 39:22–So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward. 23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. 25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28 Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. 29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
Let me conclude with the results of this invasion of Israel. There are four things that happen as a result of this war:
1) Bible Prophecies Will be Fulfilled:
If you read the books of the prophets Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, etc. they all prophesied about Armageddon and the 2nd Coming of the Messiah. Ezekiel also prophesied what now appears to be this prophetic declaration of a war with Russia and its allies against Israel. Once again what God spoke in the Holy Writ will indeed come to pass…
2 Timothy 3:16-17—All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2) God’s Power is Going to Displayed in a Remarkable Way:
- Gog and his armies will fall in the mountains of Israel; Several months will be required to clean up the aftermath of this battle.
- His power will displayed in the fire upon the land from where Gog came and all the islands. (Ezekiel 39:6-10); Also note in the above mentioned Scripture, II Peter 3:10 in Greek alludes to thermo-nuclear terms.
- The massive burial (Ezekiel 39:11-16—-7 verses describing the burial of the defeated armies.) It will take Israel 7 months to clean up all the carcasses & debris from this war.
- The fowls eating the flesh (Ezekiel 39:17-20) You talk about a gory scene. By the way, over the last decade or so, massive flocks of flesh-eating vultures that normally did not inhabit the Kidron valley area (where the Battle of Armageddon will take place) have begun to populate that valley.
There are many passages in Ezekiel that are mentioned in the Book of Revelation .The consistency of God’s Word gives us all the answers we need. 
As I bring this post to a close, it is clearly evident that the stage is being set for this battle to to take place. I also urge you to be a “Berean,” and study this on your own to see if it is so.
Acts 17:11— These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
So, if this “Magog” Invasion is on the horizon, and if Armageddon & the 2nd Coming of our Lord is near, then how much closer are we to the Rapture of the Church? I have not even said one thing about the Rapture of the Church in this teaching. (Stay tuned for upcoming posts on the Rapture of the Church.)
But let me submit this possibility to you: WHAT IF IT PRECEDES THE EVENTS DISCUSSED OVER THE LAST SEVERAL POSTS!!!
