Merry Christmas!! Jesus is LORD!
Isaiah 9:6-7-–For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government
will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness
of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign
on David’s throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”
The above mentioned Scripture is often read on several Christmas Cards this time of the year. What we know according to Scriptures, as we celebrate His First Coming we look eagerly with great anticipation to His Second Coming. It is then, that He will establish the Messianic Kingdom and fulfill what was foretold by the prophet Isaiah in the above mentioned verses.
He will literally accomplish the following:
(1) He will sit upon the throne of David;
(2) He will set the kingdom of David in order;
(3) He will establish justice in this kingdom forever;
(4) He will bear the government of the world upon His shoulder;
(5) He will keep on extending His government until it covers all men (“of the increase of His government there shall be no end.”) and
(6) He will keep on bestowing His peace until it has been bestowed upon all men (“of the increase of His peace there shall be no end”).
The teaching of the Millennial reign of Christ is a teaching that has been seldom taught in the Body of Christ. I believe that now more than ever, the body of Christ needs to hear this message. I believe that the teaching on the 1,000 year reign of Christ and the coming kingdom is important for every Christian to know about.
This 1,000 year reign can be seen as a pre-cursor to the eternal reign of Jesus Christ. How many of you know that HE REIGNS FOREVER! There are yet many prophecies that Jesus Christ must fulfill regarding His rule and reign. If these prophecies were not to come to pass, then you might as well throw the entire Bible away!
The term Millennium is taken from two Latin words, “mille,” which means thousand, and “annum,” which means years. When these two words are combined, the word simply means one thousand years.
This will be a period of time in which Jesus Christ will reign on the earth for 1,000 years in fulfillment of many prophecies. During this reign, satan will be bound and sealed in the bottomless pit, so he will have no influence in the earth to deceive mankind.
At this time, Jesus Christ will rule the entire world, and he will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will sit on the throne of King David, ruling over Israel.
Even So YESHUA COME……….
Merry Christmas to ALL!!
