The Other Domain and the Genesis Mandate (Part II)
As I mentioned previously, from the very beginning, in Eden, God created humanity to rule the earth alongside Him.
Genesis 1:28 — And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. We think of Heaven as a place where one day we will live with God and His angels. That’s the way it was originally intended to be and that’s the way it will be when Heaven comes back to earth in a new global Eden ( Revelation 21 & 22)
God’s rule in the unseen spiritual world through His Council is a template for His rule on earth aka THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Most people when you mention Eden, think this was the home of Adam and Eve:
Genesis 2:15 –And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it But Eden is also God’s home:
Ezekiel 28:13— Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God ; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created
Ezekiel 31:8-9— The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty. 9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God , envied him.
Ezekiel 28:14— Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God (Eden)
IN MANY ANCIENT RELIGIONS, LUXURIOUS GARDENS AND INACCESSIBLE MOUNTAINS WERE CONSIDERED THE HOME OF THE GODS. THE BIBLE USES BOTH DESCRIPTIONS FOR EDEN.
Where God is so is His Council. Note what he says in Genesis 1:26 :
Genesis 1:26 — And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
God announces His intention to a group. Is it the Heavenly Host? God cannot be talking to the Trinity, because God can’t know something they don’t.
However, when Humankind was created in the next verse:
Genesis 1:27 — So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them,
Notice here that God is the only one creating. The image of God isn’t just an ability given to us by God, like intelligence. One can lose his/her ability but they cannot lose the status of being God’s imager. That would require not being just human! Thus, every human, from conception to death, will always be human but always be God’s imager. THIS IS WHY HUMAN LIFE IS SO SACRED!!
