Eyes Wide Shut
So the Great American eclipse has come…………. and gone.
This phenomenon was visible as a partial eclipse from all 50 states and as a total eclipse from a 70-mile-wide trajectory of 14 states.
While it’s impossible to know exactly how many people saw it is being reported that it was the most observed and most photographed eclipse in history. It is very likely that not hundred, nor thousands, nor tens of thousands, nor hundreds of thousands, but rather, MILLIONS of people across this country from coast to coast, watched this eclipse.
A CNN poll earlier this month indicated that about half of the US population (323.1 million in 2016) planned to watch the eclipse.
Although the majority of eclipses fall over water or unpopulated areas of the planet, the path of totality of this eclipse stayed completely in the United States. All things considered, no where else in the solar system, or in the universe for that matter, except in the USA from coast to coast yesterday was it possible to see what we American’s could see.
Last time this happened was in 1776, when the nation was birthed. Is this a coincidence?
The sun will set at the commencement of this total solar eclipse at Salem, Oregon (named after Jerusalem circa 1850) at 10:17 AM, or the same time as the sun set in Jerusalem, Israel.
The eclipse path is exactly 70 miles wide. 70 has a sacred meaning in the Bible that has two perfect numbers, 7 that represents perfection and 10 that represents completeness and God’s law. 70 also symbolizes perfect spiritual order and a period of judgment. 70 is also specially connected with Jerusalem.
Speaking of SEVENTY, the number SEVENTY is the number of the restoration of Israel, and is also seen many times in relation to punishment. The meanings of SEVENTY are “completeness” and “judgement”. Again, it is related to the punishment and restoration of Israel.
2017 is the SEVENTIETH anniversary of UN resolution 181 in 1947, again paving the way for Israel’s statehood in 1948. All this ironically, is ultimately leading up to the SEVEN year Tribulation period otherwise known as the SEVENTIETH Week of Daniel:
Daniel 9:24-27—Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Jesus one time made a clear statement in which He indcated that the signs must occur at some set time or season, in order to be a signal, or warning of coming changes. Look what he said in Matthew 15:3 when speaking to the religious and political leaders in Jerusalem–
Matthew 15:3: Oh ye hyporites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but ye cannot discern the sign of the times. So our LORD was saying that certain times were important as signs. If you point to happening events, without taking into consideration the time when they occur, you can be mistaken.
