Quake Watch: 7 Near Oregon Within Last 24 Hours!
For what it’s worth, there were seven recorded earthquakes that occurred off the coast of Oregon within the last day:
They were recorded and measured as follows:
Quake times and recorded magnitude
11:52 p.m. Sunday: 5.8 Magnitude
After midnight Monday: 4.3 Magnitude
4:46 a.m. Monday: 5.5 Magnitude
7:46 a.m. Monday: 4.4 Magnitude
1:11 p.m. Monday: 5.9 Magnitude
7:50 p.m. Monday: 3.9 Magnitude
8:11 p.m. Monday: 4.2 Magnitude
The earthquakes were about six miles deep, which is relatively shallow.
The deeper the quake, the less likely people will feel it.
For example, the magnitude 7.8 quake that recently struck Japan did little damage because it was 420 miles deep.
